As such, we are expanding our SHEQ team in order to drive the implementation of means and methods company-wide. As a SHE supervisor, you will be assigned to our production locations in Kinderdijk and Krimpen aan den Ijssel, and report directly to the SHEQ Manager Shipbuilding.
As a SHE Supervisor, you will be the first point of contact for production colleagues at our facility regarding all aspects of safety, health and the environment (SHE). You will also: supervise the daily safety activities at the yard; work actively together with your colleagues to increase awareness; act as a critical sparring partner for management; and aim to improve IHC's overall safety performance and culture.
Your team comprises seven safety professionals (two SHE Engineers and five SHE Supervisors), and you will be responsible for:
- leading a team of external fire attendants
- executing and reporting SHE inspections
- implementing and maintaining management systems for safety and environment
- realising targets set out in the SHE year plan
- analysing and following up on incidents.
To be eligible for the position of SHE Supervisor, you must have:
- a senior secondary vocational (MBO) degree in a technical discipline
- VCA VOL and MVK diplomas
- more than three years of experience in a production organisation
- experience working with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001
- the ability to work in different IHC locations in The Netherlands
- a valid driving licence
- strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
- knowledge of other languages such as Polish or Romanian (advantageous).
