Senior O&M Engineer – WTG

Job description

Senior O&M Engineer – WTG

Minimum of £51,440 + Bonus and Private Health Care

Location: London

We’re innovating, evolving and leading the way in renewables. As a Senior O&M Engineer, you’ll have the chance to work on a 6GW offshore project pipeline and drive our progress.

Here at Scottish Power, we’ve committed to remaining a UK leader in renewable energy solutions. We manage the development, construction and operation of onshore wind and marine energy projects in the UK, and offshore wind farms worldwide. As well as investing in our technologies, we are committed to investing in the future of extraordinary people like you.

Right now, we’re developing an outstanding offshore project pipeline that’s scheduled to be delivered to 2025 and beyond. With sites across Europe and worldwide, there’s some incredible opportunities for O&M Engineers.

Our wind farms need to be in perfect working order so they perform at their very best. As a Senior O&M Engineer, you’ll focus our small-scale offshore installations, making sure that wind turbines produce maximum energy. It’s a critical role that places you at the heart of our offshore business, where you’ll work with contractors, joint venture partners and various departments to deliver O&M scope of works. Your expertise will prove vital, as you define O&M strategies, ensure best practice, uphold Health & Safety and give high-level advice.

When you’re part of a global business like ours, flexibility is key.  As technical lead, you’ll play your part in an international team and may need to travel to different locations.

Drawing on solid industrial experience, you’ll specialise in large, modern wind turbines. You can analyse failures, monitor electrical system condition and identify faults. Your technical knowledge is built on a degree (or equivalent) in Maths, Engineering or a Physical Science discipline, and supported by a track record in O&M delivery. At this level, you’ll also bring a good command of data analytics and computer programming, plus problem solving skills. However, good organisation, planning and communication are just as important as engineering expertise. Through teamwork and fantastic working relationships, we can innovate and lead the way in renewables.

As well as brilliant flexible benefits and ongoing training, you’ll get the chance to be part of a business that’s building better solutions for energy.
